Aaira: HOCl Technology
Care for your air. Destroy germs, bacteria and viruses, including Covid-19, using HOCl technology. With natural ingredients, just non-iodized salt and water, kill airborne pathogens and stop the spread of germs on surfaces.
The HOCl (hypochlorous acid) molecule is a “weak” acid similar to lemon juice. And yet it’s also super strong, tearing apart microorganisms on contact. Aaira’s titanium electrolytic cells produce HOCl by recombining H20 and NaCl. It’s as simple as making coffee. Just add non-iodized salt and water, for protection up to 14 hours.
Depending on the Aaira air purifier, you will have a cold evaporation filter (CEF) and a HEPA filter.
The CEF absorbs the HOCl water produced in the device and allows it to be evaporated into the air.
The HEPA filter provides 4 layers of passive air purification protection:
Pre-filter captures large airborne particles including sand, dust and hair
Anti-Microbial Coating kills germs, viruses and bacteria captured by the filter
HEPA captures allergens, pollen, and small airborne particles down to 0.3 microns
Activated Carbon Filter absorbs odors, gases and VOCs

No. HOCl production generates zero ozone, so our products do not emit nor do they cause a chemical process in the air that creates ozone.
Aaira generates hypochlorous acid (HOCl) that is sent into the air and eliminates the bacteria and viruses in the air on contact. This cleaning solution is generated by adding water and non-iodized salt to your device. The device also then filters the air to remove particles such as dust, pet dander and pollen.
Since air purifiers clean air to an almost microscopic level, it is quite normal to doubt if the device is genuinely operating the way it should. Here are a few ways to check if your air purifier is working:
(1) check the devices’ airflow, a working air purifier presents clear, consistent airflow (easily determined by placing your hand over the system)
(2) you should smell a difference in the air quality, a slight chlorine-like scent and a reduction in odors such as sweat or pet urine
(3) use the filter test, this means to look at the internal filters that come with the device. A dirty filter is a sign that the system is working, meaning air is entering the device and the filter is capturing pollutants before air leaves the device.
(4) are your symptoms relieved? Often the best sign that an air purifier is working manifests itself in how you are feeling. Have your allergy symptoms reduced? Are you coughing less?
Sciaire: PlasmaShield™

Our 3-Stage filtration consists of:
A pre-filter – to capture large particles, such as dust, pet hair, human hair
A HEPA filter – to remove allergens, bacteria, mold, pollutants from the air including pollen and airborne viruses like influenza
A Carbon filter – to trap odors, these are commonly caused by pet urine, sweat, cooking and more.
The Sciaire products use PlasmaShield™ Technology to send positive and negative ions into your space. These ions attach to particles in the air and make them too heavy to stay suspended in the air. The filter then takes in the particles and therefore removes them from your air. If you’re looking for products to help with allergies, our entire Sciaire range has a HEPA filter.

If you’re looking for something to help reduce odors, the Aaira products are great as the cleaning solution has a slight chlorine scent.

(3) use the filter test, this means to look at the internal filters that come with the device. A dirty filter is a sign that the system is working, meaning air is entering the device and the filter is capturing pollutants before air leaves the device.
(4) are your symptoms relieved? Often the best sign that an air purifier is working manifests itself in how you are feeling. Have your allergy symptoms reduced? Are you coughing less?

Yes, you can continually run your machine without down time. However, for Aaira products, you will need to replenish the natural ingredients: non-iodized salt and water.

The smart controls on some of our devices are great for you to be able to control the purifiers when you are not at home. In particular, you’d be able to start purifying the air ready for when you get home from a day at work. This is especially great if you have been away from home for a while (such as on holiday) and want to get rid of the musty air before your arrival.
The voice control is a feature that is ideal if you are in the same (or different) room to your device and wish to control it. This could be because you are unable to move from where you are (feeding a baby for example) or if the device is not easily accessible.
HEPA stands for high-efficiency particulate air. A HEPA filter is a type of mechanical air filter that works by forcing air through a fine mesh that captures 99.97% of airborne particles such as dust, pollens, mold spores, debris, and pet dander while the activated carbon layer helps reduce common household odors caused by bacteria, smoke, pet, and cooking odors.
Yes, air purifiers are a great way to help alleviate allergy symptoms as they can capture floating pollen particles. For the best results with allergies we recommend using one of our models that contain a HEPA filter. Where possible try to keep external windows and doors closed so that you don’t continue introducing pollen particles into your air.

At present, we do not have any plans to open a physical shop. We hope that over the course of 2023 our products will be available in all relevant major retailers, both in store and online.
We understand that sometimes it does not work out. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your purchase, we operate a 30 day return policy from the date of delivery. We will replace it or refund the cost of the item. All returned items must be in their original packaging and in the condition in which they were received for a full refund.
